From Palm Valley and Hermannsburg we headed south via the Mereenie Loop to Kings Canyon. The road was quite rough, corrugated and gave us our first flat tyre. Thankfully it was just a slow leak and we didn't know about it until the next morning. After changing the tyre (after Tim changed the tyre) we did the Kings Canyon Rim Walk, it was already hot at 8am but off we went with over 5kms to cover. It was spectacular with the view distracting us from the heat all the way around. The kids loved looking over the edge as we made our way around the rim. The next morning we did the easier walk up the valley.
You all look like very happy campers!!! The smiles say it all...and why not?! What a spectacular place to add to your list of adventures. Keep living the dream :-) Girl's dinner out next week, put your Santa hat on - we'll be in touch!!! xoxoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteP.S. Apologies for all the !!! Can't help myself when living vicariously through your pics.
Dear Lola,
ReplyDeleteI have been missing you a lot. At school we have been doing poetry, we also went on a rock pool excursion. It was so fun!we got to hold millions of tiny creatures! My mum helped out with the excursion. On Tuesday,we had Presentation day at bulli high school. I was the only one who didn't get a award! so not fair. We went home and went out for sushi. Me and Charlotte got seafood pancake and i also got a teriyaki beef roll. Then we went home and me and mum made Macaroni and cheese, it was delicious! Today, i am going to karate and then i"m going to have a sleepover at my nans! We are going to do loads of fun stuff! Back at my house, my family has a visitor coming over. Her name is Amy. I wish i was there, but i have something better going on.
Regards, Molly
